Ghost Stories for All Ages! Author Brooks Preik will share some of her ghostly experiences and sign copies of her book Haunted Wilmington The public is invited and Halloween refreshments will be served. All children's books will discounted 10% during this event. Children are encouraged to come in costume and a prize will be given for the most original costume.

Holy Smoke Book Signing and Barbecue Tasting! Authors John Shelton Reed and Dale Volberg Reed will be offering tips and tastes from their new book Holy Smoke: The Big Book of N. C. Barbecue, an authoritative and spirited look at North Carolina's signature slow-cooked favorite dish.
 
 
November 15 | 2-4 PM
 

An afternoon of fun, food and family memories is in store when  Carolyn Rawls Booth visits the store with favorites to taste and stories from Aunt Mag’s Recipes: Heritage Cooking from a Carolina Kitchen. The author will also autograph and share stories from her other regional best sellers: Between the Rivers, Bandeaux Creek and A Chosen Few.

We had a wonderful time with Clyde Edgerton at our Extravaganza! Of course, we remembered the cheese, the wine, the bundt cake. But we fogot to bring a camera. Oh well, at least we remembered the important things--at least we remembered the wine!

We'd like to invite friends and neighbors and book lovers of all kinds to our Grand Re-Opening Weekend Extravaganza on September 12th and 13th to celebrate the store’s new ownership. The event will kick off on Friday, September 12th from 2 - 4 pm with a book signing by Clyde Edgerton, whose new novel, The Bible Salesman, was just released last month. There will be wine and cheese, special coupons and discounts and door prizes. And wine? Did we mention the wine? 

Pound CakeSaturday the 13th the festivities continue from 12 – 4 pm and feature more of the same, only without Mr. Edgerton. But not to worry, we’ll have pound cake on Saturday, which is almost as good. (Trust us, you haven’t had this pound cake.) We’ll also serve sweet tea and lemonade while wearing white kid gloves and fancy hats. Well, maybe not the hats. 

So come meet the new owners of Two Sisters Bookery, Angela Carr and Brooks Preik. Have some cake. Have some wine. And pick up a book from the shop that will always be your neighborhood reader’s paradise.
